Serena Williams To Be The Owner Of Future WNBA Team

 

Serena Williams has announced that she has taken a stake in the Toronto Tempo. The Toronto Tempo is one of the WNBA's new expansion teams that will begin playing in 2026. 

Williams joins an ownership group led by Larry Tanenbaum, chairman of Kilmer Sports Ventures, and will play an active role in aspects like jersey designs and merchandise collaborations. The exact size of her stake hasn’t been disclosed, and her investment is pending final league approval.
