Plaxico Burress Sold His Super Bowl XLII Ring

It has been reported that Plaxico Burress has sold his Super Bowl XLII Ring. Burress earned this ring as a member of the New York Giants for their victory over the New England Patriots in 2008.

The ring was auctioned off through Heritage Auctions and sold for $280,600. It is unclear what was the motivation for Plaxico to sell the ring.

Burress was a key player in the New York Giants victory over the New England Patriots. Plaxico Burress famously caught the game-winning touchdown pass from Eli Manning with just 35 seconds left, a moment that cemented the Giants’ upset over the previously undefeated Patriots.
