The fake punt play called by Colts in the Sunday night football game against the Patriots has to be the dumbest play call ever called. My exact reaction to this play after it was over was "why would they call that dumb ass play." This just adds more fire to an already hot seat that Chuck Pagano is on. The first person I thought of was the special teams coordinator. His name happens to be Tom Mcmahon, who has a rather solid resume as a coach. I say that because I do not want to discredit Tom Mcmahon as a coach on the pro level. I just happen to look at the special teams coordinator as someone who has too much time on their hands. How much time week to week to you need to go over the basics of specials teams? The worst part of it all is the play was called an illegal formation so even if the play got a first down it would of got called back.
This is easily the worst play ever called in NFL history. The sad thing is Chuck Pagano is really in danger of losing his job and moments like this can justify the colts decision.
