The Dallas Mavericks Have Placed a Public Bounty on Cooper Flagg’s Ultra-rare 1-of-1 Rookie Debut Patch

The Mavericks posted a stylized “Our Bounty” graphic and proposed trade offer aimed at whoever pulls the one-of-one. The card features a game-worn patch taken from the jersey Flagg wore in his NBA debut, plus an on-card autograph he signed at Fanatics Fest in July.

The Proposed Package

The Mavericks are offering the following in exchange for the card

  • Two (2) Mavericks season premium lower-level tickets for 32 years
  • A Cooper Flagg signed game-worn rookie jersey
  • A postgame photo with Flagg
  • A private photoshoot with the NBA Rookie of the Year trophy and the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy
  • A VIP tour of the Mavericks practice facility with a team meet-and-greet
  • A private basketball experience for up to 10 guests at American Airlines Center
  • A road-trip experience to see the Mavericks vs. the Boston Celtics that includes round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, and game tickets

Why This Card Matters?

Flagg, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft out of Duke, quickly became the face of the franchise and the reigning Rookie of the Year. Debut Patch Autograph cards are among the most coveted modern basketball collectibles because the patch is authentic game-worn material from a player’s first regular-season appearance. Flagg signed the card at Fanatics Fest, where Fanatics Collectibles executives called it the most anticipated basketball card “in a long, long time.”

Comparable debut-patch cards have already commanded seven figures (Paul Skenes’ baseball version sold for $1.11 million). Multiple private bounties of at least $1 million were reportedly already circulating for Flagg’s card before the Mavericks’ public offer, and the combination of the team’s package plus collector interest has fueled speculation that a public sale could push even higher.

This is the first major wave of NBA Rookie Debut Patch Autograph cards under Topps’ renewed NBA license. Flagg’s is the headliner, with parallel 1/1 versions for other 2025 draftees also released as redemptions in the same product.

The Mavericks’ campaign is equal parts marketing, fan engagement, and genuine interest in owning a unique piece of their young star’s earliest history. Whether the eventual owner takes the experiential “trade” or holds out for a pure cash offer remains to be seen, but the hunt for the 1/1 is officially on.
