What Giannis Antetokounmpo Contract Extension Really Means


 Giannis Antetokounmpo has agreed to a three-year, $186 million contract extension with the Milwaukee Bucks. It has been confirmed that the deal includes a player option for the 2027-28 season.

Antetokounmpo's new contract will start in the 2025-26 season, meaning he is under contract with the Bucks for at least four more years. He will earn about $62 million annually starting in 2025.

With the acquisition of NBA All-Star Damian Lillard, The Milwaukee Bucks are showing Giannis they are committed to winning for the foreseeable future. Now Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard are under contract through the 2027 contract.
