Carlos Correa Plans To Opt Out Of Minnesota Twins Deal

All-Star Shortstop Carlos Correa plans to opt out of his deal with the Minnesota Twins as reported by El Nuevo Día newspaper. This makes him a free agent going into the 2023 season

Correa signed a 3-year $105 million deal with the Twins. The deal included a player option after every season that would pay him $35 million a year.

The Minnesota Twins finished the season 78-84, 3rd in the AL Central, and missed the playoffs for the 2nd straight season. The Twins will have every opportunity to resign Correa, but there may be other teams that are considered contenders that may be more interesting to him.
