Alex Cora Fired As Red Sox Manager

Alex Cora and the Boston Red Sox have mutually agreed to part ways.

This all stems from the sign-stealing scandal with the Houston Astros back in 2017. Alex Cora was the bench coach for the Houston Astros in 2017 before he took the job to be the manager for the Boston Red Sox.

The MLB commissioner Rob Manfred believes Alex Cora was involved in the sign-stealing scandal and punishment will be handed down soon.

"We agreed today that parting ways was the best thing for the organization, I do not want to be a distraction to the Red Sox as they move forward. My two years as manager were the best years of my life. It was an honor to manage these teams and help bring a World Series Championship back to Boston." - Alex Cora
I can't imagine Cora get more than a 1-year suspension just like AJ Hinch.
