I think it is pretty safe to say that JT Realmuto is the best catcher in the MLB right now. I think the Philadelphia Phillies need to make it a priority to get him signed to a contract extension.

Realmuto was an absolute stud at the plate and behind the plate. JT had a career-high in home runs and RBI's in the 2019 season with 25 home runs and 83 RBI's.

I can see Realmuto's deal being a 5-year deal worth $140 million. It has been reported that both the Phillies and JT Realmuto want to get an extension done really soon.
