Joe Maddon Becomes The Angels New Manager

The Angels got their guy. The Los Angeles Angels and Joe Maddon have agreed on a 3-year deal. The deal is rumored to pay Maddon $15 million over 3 seasons.

Maddon has won the World Series in 2016 with the Chicago Cubs and took the Tampa Bay Rays to the World Series in 2008.

"I could not be more excited to come back home and manage this great organization, I'd like to thank Arte Moreno, Billy Eppler and John Carpino for giving me the opportunity to add another chapter to my Angels career. I was lucky enough to be a part of the first Angels team to win a World Series title and I look forward to the opportunity to bring Angel fans their second championship." - Joe Maddon

It will be interesting to see what Joe Maddon does with the 2020 Angels team. The Angels have some talented players, but never was able to put together enough wins to get into the playoffs.
