Sebastian Telfair Sentenced To 3.5 Years In Prison

Former NBA player Sebastian Telfair has been sentenced to 3.5 years of prison. This all came from a traffic stop in Brooklyn and he was caught with a gun. This incident happened back in July 2017.

"This defendant exercised his right to a jury trial and was found guilty of possessing an illegal firearm, the mandatory prison sentence he received today is required by law and he has now been held accountable for the unlawful conduct." - Eric Gonzalez Brooklyn District Attorney

For those who don't know New York has very strict gun laws. Just by having a gun in your possession you could fall victim of their mandatory prison sentencing. 

Telfair spent 10 years in the NBA with 8 different teams.
