Strasburg Has A Big Night At The Plate

The Washington Nationals defeated the Atlanta Braves 13 to 4, but that is the secondary story. Starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg had a hell of a night at the plate. Strasburg went 3 for 3 while scoring 2 runs with 5 RBI's. He hit 2 singles and a home run with 2 of his hits coming in the third round.

Strasburg night on the mound was as impressive but he did get the win. He went 5.1 innings deep, 3 earned runs, and 7 strikeouts.

The Nationals are hopeful Strasburg career night at the plate can fuel him to turn back into an ace pitcher as they compete for one of the National League wild-card spots.
