DeMarcus Cousins Signs One-Year Deal With The Lakers

According to Cousins agent Jeff Schwartz, The Los Angeles Lakers and DeMarcus Cousins have agreed to a one-year deal.

It was reported that Cousins did not have a market for him in the 2019 NBA free agency. The deal with the Lakers is a mid-level exception deal worth $5.3 million. 

The best case scenario for Cousins is he stays healthy, balls out, and possibly win an NBA Championship. Then in the 2020 free agency, an NBA team will throw a $100 million contract at him. 

The Los Angeles  Lakers are now the clear favorites to win the 2020 NBA Championship.
