Fernando Rodney Has Been Released By The Oakland Athletics

The Oakland A's have released struggling veteran pitcher Fernando Rodney. 

The 3-time MLB All-Star had a 9.42 ERA with only 14.1 innings pitched in the 2019 season. The Athletics are still on the hook to pay Rodney the remainder of his $4.25 million salary. 

It will be interesting to see if a contending team will be interested in adding Fernando Rodney to the middle of their bullpen.
