Ray Rice should be on an NFL roster? Agree or Disagree?
Should Ray Rice be on an NFL roster? My response forces me to use improper English by saying HELL'S YES! Ray Rice is a 3 time pro bowler, Super bowl champion, and over 9,000 yards from scrimmage in his 6 year career. The ex Ravens running back is only 28 years of age and he hasn't play since 2013. Outside of Adrian Peterson, I cannot think of another team that has a running back that will get 85% of the carries. I feel the punishment for the events that took place in Atlantic City was fair. I also believe those should not be held against him from working in the NFL in the 2015-2016 season. I am no NFL General manager but a running back that had 2,000 yards from scrimmage twice and he's not over 30 years old is a no brainier for me.
The is always the possibility of the backlash from fans who did not forgive Ray Rice for his domestic abuse incident. I would tell those fans to get over it simply because there is no reason to keep holding this guy back from playing pro football. I have heard the Browns have some interest in signing Ray Rice for the 2015-2016 season. This would be a good move for the Browns since they ranked 28th in the league in yards per rush attempt with 3.6 yards per rush. Ray Rice can also be an asset to catch the ball out of the backfield which will help the passing game. Ray Rice hasn't played in an NFL game since 2013 so he is likely to be as healthy and fresh as he has ever been in his pro career.
