5 thing to watch during the 2011 MLB season

Here is 5 interesting story lines I think you should pay attention to during the 2011 season

1. Can the Braves look worst, better or just as good as they were last season?

Great acquisition in Dan Uggla who is in my opinion the second best hitting second baseman in the national league. With Uggla playing second base Prado was giving the position of left field. I know Prado is a utility player and can play multiple positions but i really think infield is his strength on defense.I like there pitching staff and i think if all goes well that will be the strength of the 2011 braves team. What chipper jones are you getting in 2011?
Are you going to get the chipper that plays solid and really fills is role in that lineup or do you get the chipper that should off went out on a high note like his long time manger Bobby cox. Sophomore year for Jayson Heyward good better or worst? Towards the end of the 2010 season Jayson had sort of a power outage with declining extra base hits and home runs.

2.Phillies starting rotation are they that good?
The answer is yes these guys are the real deal I have a hard time believing any beside what we all expect out of this rotation in the 2011 season. One that i do question is run support, Cole Hamels had a better season then his record indicted. There was a handful of games where Cole pitched a gem and his offense didn't give him much in return. Roy Oswalt is another question mark that I have about the Phillies rotation. With the Astros last season he had a terrible June and July and got rock against the nationals in first game as a Phillie. On the bright side Roy Oswalt is undefeated in Citizens Bank Park in the regular season. Cole Hamels add that cutter I think is the difference between good and great.

3.Are the Yankees who we think they are?
On paper the Yankees have maybe have nothing less then a great lineup, but Derek Jeter is aging and production is declining and A-rod is aging. I think we will see A-Rod hit less then 30 Home Runs this season. Robinson Cano is the guy who will anchor the Yankees offense in the 2011 season. Cano was a big part in why the Yankees led the majors in on base percentage and runs scored. The Yankees really went after Cliff lee and really think they need him or a pitcher of his caliber, but Carl Crawford would have been a good look for the Yankees outfield. Even with the addition to Andruw Jones the Yankees outfield is average at best. I like the bullpen pieces that they added, but the Starting rotation has me only saying they are average at best. So I say in the 2011 season the Yankees will be average at best.

4.What is Manny Ramirez doing in Tampa?
I truly believe the Rays have talent but no depth. How much does Manny still have in the tank. I will be interested into how many at bats Manny will really get this season. Manny will be in the designated hitter spot in the lineup and I can't wait to see Manny being Manny. Here is my bold prediction at what i think Manny ramirez number will look like in 2011 BA .262 HR 16 RBI 58

5.Jose Bautista hits 50 + home runs again?

This guy has pure power and can hit it out of the yard with the best of them. Even though he has the ability to hit 50 this year I think it is a long shot. The league knows this guys power now and he won't fly under the radar and will get walked and pitched around a lot more in the 2011 season. I am even more interested in what Bautista future holds. Are the blue Jays going make Bautista there franchise player and give a long term contract or at the trade deadline give Bautista to the highest bidder. I really want to know what kind of value do the Blue Jays give Jose Bautista
