MLB Donate To Venezuela Earthquake Relief
Major League Baseball teams and the Players Trust have announced financial contributions to support relief efforts following the powerful earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24, 2026.
The Miami Marlins donated $100,000 to Global Empowerment Mission for emergency response and recovery in affected communities. The team has also launched fan initiatives, including supply collection drives at LoanDepot Park, a ticket promotion where $5 from select tickets goes to We Love Venezuela, and 50/50 raffle proceeds benefiting relief. Corporate partners have contributed additional funds and supplies such as food and water.
The MLB Players Trust, the charitable arm of the Major League Baseball Players Association, donated $100,000 to trusted organizations supporting disaster relief and recovery. The Trust is also matching eligible personal donations from active MLB players (up to $3,000 per player) and MiLB players (up to $500).
The Boston Red Sox are hosting a monetary donation drive at Fenway Park from June 27 through July 1, with players, families, and staff collecting contributions. The Red Sox Foundation is coordinating with Major League Baseball and the American Red Cross, which is working with the Venezuelan Red Cross.
Other teams, including the Milwaukee Brewers, have organized similar relief drives. MLB clubs have also held moments of silence and allowed Venezuelan players and staff to wear tribute patches on their caps.
These efforts provide direct financial and material support to communities impacted by the earthquakes.
