Steph Curry Accepts A New Job At Davidson College
NBA star Stephen Curry has taken on a new role as the assistant general manager for the basketball programs at his alma mater, Davidson College. This makes Curry the first active player in a major U.S. professional sport to hold an administrative job with an NCAA team.
In this new role, Curry will guide both the men's and women's basketball teams, drawing on his extensive experience from his college days at Davidson (2006-2009) and his professional career in the NBA. He will work alongside Davidson's general manager, Austin Buntz, a former Under Armour marketing team member.
Additionally, Curry, along with his wife Ayesha and Davidson supporters Don, Matt, and Erica Berman, is launching an eight-figure fund called the Curry-Berman Fund. This initiative aims to support both basketball programs and help Davidson compete in the evolving landscape of college sports, particularly with revenue-sharing opportunities for student-athletes in the NIL era.
