Deion Sanders Signs New Deal With Colorado Worth $50+ Million
Colorado University and Deion Sanders have reportedly agreed on a new deal. Both parties agreed to a five-year, $54 million contract extension that runs through the 2029 season, making him one of the highest-paid coaches in the country.
Sanders inherited a program that went 1-11 in 2022 and has led the Buffaloes to a nine-win season and a bowl berth in just two seasons.
If Sanders accepts another coaching job before the end of the contract, his buyout would start at $12 million if he left on or before Dec. 31, 2025, followed by $10 million in 2026, $6 million in 2027, $4 million in 2028 and $3 million in 2029.
