National Treasure Wins 2023 Preakness Stakes

 National Treasure, a 5-2 favorite, won the 148th Preakness Stakes on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. Bob Baffert-trained National Treasure held off hard-charging Blazing Sevens down the stretch.

Jockey John Velazquez won the Preakness for the first time in his 12th try.
