The NBA Fines Anthony Edwards For Derogatory Language On Social Media

 The NBA has decided to fine Minnesota Timberwolves Anthony Edwards for $40,000. The fine was issued due to "offensive and derogatory language on social media". 

The rising star used a homophobic comment in an Instagram Story to describe a group of shirtless men who were standing next to a building. Since Edwards has issued an apology for his comment via Twitter.

What I said was immature, hurtful, and disrespectful, and I’m incredibly sorry. It’s unacceptable for me or anyone to use that language in such a hurtful way, there’s no excuse for it, at all. I was raised better than that!
