Felipe Vazquez Sentenced To Prison Time

Former Pittsburg Pirates pitcher Felipe Vazquez was sentenced to 2 to 4 years in Pennsylvania state prison. Vazquez was charged with statutory sexual assault for beginning a relationship with a minor who was 13 when the relationship started.

The MLB all-star was convicted on 10 counts of child sexual abuse, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor. He was arrested when the girl's mother called the police. The mother found text messages and pictures of Felipe Vazquez on her daughter's phone.

Felipe did not deny the relationship with the minor but he claims he did not know she was 13 years old.
