Thunder To Shut Down Horford For The Rest Of The Season

The Oklahoma City Thunder has decided to shut down all-star Al Horford for the remainder of the season. The team wants to give the younger players more minutes to further evaluate their talent.

Horford is likely to be traded after this season is over. He currently has years and $53 million remaining on his contract.

I am not sure of any contending team that could take on Horford's contract without going over the cap or even hitting the luxury tax. Horford also will be a player that eats up a lot of cap space but be nothing more than a role player at this point in his career.
