Kevin Durant Buy Minority Stake In The Philadelphia Union


According to sportsbusinessdaily.com, Kevin Durant has purchased a minority stake in the MLS team Philadelphia Union. The NBA all-star now owns 1% to 5% of the Philadelphia Union. 

The money spent to acquire the minority stake is undisclosed. It is also unclear if the purchase was personal or through Kevin Durants venture capital company Thirty Five Ventures.

Soccer is the biggest sport in most countries outside of America, but its popularity is growing in America in recent years. Kevin Durant may have just got a piece of one of the sports that may be a big deal in the near future.
