Addison Russell Signs 1-Year With KBO
Former Chicago Cub shortstop has agreed to a one-year deal with the Kiwoom Heroes of the Korean Baseball Organization. The deal is reported to be worth $530,000.
Russell was cut by the Chicago Cubs back in December 2019. The 2016 all-star found himself in the free-agent pool with no MLB team looking to sign him. At 26 years of age, Russell has plenty of years of baseball ahead of him.
Addison Russell hit .242, 60 home runs, and 253 RBI's in his 5 years with the Chicago Cubs.
