The Portland Trailblazer Need To Rebuild

Despite making it to the Western Conference Finals in the 2018-2019 season The Portland Trailblazers have underachieved in 2019-2020 to say the less.

Unfortunately, I believe their Western Conference Finals run was the peak for core players on this team. Even with a quality rim protector in Hassan Whiteside, defensively they are a mess. They currently rank 26th in the NBA in points allowed giving up 115.3 points per game.

Based on the talent the Blazers have on the team right now, they should be one of the top 5 teams in the Western Conference. Portland has the 2nd best backcourt in the NBA behind Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. They have a productive Carmelo Anthony and a quality big man in Hassan Whiteside. This team should not be 9th in the West trending towards missing the playoffs.

I expect the Portland Trailblazers to make wholesale changes this off-season. Head coach Terry Stotts may be on the chopping block as well.
