The New York Yankees have begun their winter cleaning already. Jacoby Ellsbury have been officially cut by Yankees. The Yanks will still owe the outfielder an estimated $26 million. Ellsbury will get $21 million for the 2020 season and an additional $5 million for a 2021 team option. The Bronx Bomber will also cut ties will injury-prone first baseman Greg Bird. Bird hit .211 and 32 home runs while playing 186 games for the New York Yankees.
