The Chargers Fire Ken Whisenhunt

The Los Angeles Chargers has decided to cut ties with offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt.

After a 12-4 season in 2018, the Chargers are currently sitting at 3-5 on the season. With each passing week, the team's chances of making the playoffs are dwindling.

The offense has failed to rush for over 40 yards in the team's last 4 games. The offense is currently ranked at 23rd in the league in points scored at 19.6 points per game.

"This is not an easy decision and definitely not one that I take lightly, you win as a team, and you lose as a team. It's never about just one person. At the end of the day, however, I simply felt a change was needed at this time. I want to thank Ken for his years of service to the Chargers organization and wish him nothing but the best moving forward." - Anthony Lynn Chargers Head Coach

The Chargers have not announced who will replace Whisenhunt, but it is rumored that quarterbacks coach Shane Steichen is likely to get the job.
