Mariano Rivera Receives Presidential Medal of Freedom

Hall of Famer closer Mariano Rivera has been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. President Trump said the former New York Yankees Closer might be the best pitcher to ever do it. 

"Mariano Rivera has made extraordinary contributions to American sports, culture, and society, he is the most dominant relief pitcher in the history of baseball. And more than that, he has lived the American dream and shines as an example of American greatness for all to see." - President Trump

 Mariano Rivera becomes the 4th professional athlete to receive a Presidential Medal of Freedom. The others are Tiger Woods, Bob Cousy, and Jerry West.
