Rumor: Phillies Interesting In Acquiring Jay Bruce

It has been rumored that the Phillies are interested in acquiring Outfielder Jay Bruce. Bruce is hitting .212 with 14 home runs on the 2019 seasons for the Seattle Mariners. Bruce 14 home runs would lead the Phillies if he was acquired.

The Phillies front office believes they need to add some power to their lineup. But Jay Bruce will not be cheap. Jay Bruce will make $14 million for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. There is also no telling what prospects the Mariners will want in a trade for Bruce. 

Sources are saying Jay Bruce would waive his no-trade clause if the team he is traded to is the Philadelphia Phillies.
