Rumor: The Lakers Are Interested In D'Angelo Russell

The Los Angeles Lakers are rumored to be interested in bringing back D'Angelo Russell. Russell is currently a restricted free agent with the Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets have been interested in bringing in Kyrie Irving and if or when they do that the Brooklyn Nets would have to renounce D'Angelo Russell.

To me, the Lakers want D'Angelo Russell simply because he may be the best non-max contract point guard that is available. Kemba Walker or Kyrie Irving would require the Lakers to make room for a third max player and I don't think they could afford to do that.
