David Ortiz Was Shot in Santo Domingo

According to Leo Ortiz who is David Ortiz's father, David Ortiz has been shot and wounded in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

David Ortiz, known as "Big Papi"  was attending an entertainment center when he was shot. It has been reported that the bullet went through Ortiz back and out his stomach. He has been removed out of the dangers zone after successful surgery. 

The gunman was reportedly beaten up by many of the people in the venue after he shot David Ortiz. The gunman is now in law enforcement custody.
