The Blues Takes Game 2 But Needed Overtime

The St. Louis Blues get their first Stanley Cup Finals victory after previously losing their last 13. Speaking of first Carl Gunnarsson get his first career playoff goal and it was the goal to win the game in overtime.

I thought we were in for a high scoring game with 4 goals getting scored in the 1st period. The goaltending from Tuukka Rask and Jordan Binnington went to another level allowing zero goals in the 2nd and 3rd period.

Vladimir Tarasenko remains red hot scoring his 10th goal of the 2019 playoffs and he extended his streak scoring a goal in 8 straight games.

The most impressive moment in this game for St. Louis to me is when they did not even allow the Bruins to get a shot on goal in the overtime period. I still think the Bruins are the better team, but the Blues may have found a formula to beat them. We'll see.
