Astros Acquire Maldanado From The Angels

The Houston Astros just got one of the best defensive catchers in the American League by acquiring the 2017 gold glove winner Martin Maldonado. He has been nothing to write home about on offense but the Astros got plenty of that.

The Angels will get minor league prospect Patrick Sandoval and $250,000 in cash. Patrick Sandoval had a 9-1 record with a 2.56 ERA while in the Astros minor league system.
