Robinson Cano Has A Fractured Right Hand
The Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano was drilled on the right by a pitch from Tigers relief pitcher Blaine Hardy. Cano went to the ground immediately wincing in pain.
The Seattle Mariners managed to win the game 5-4 over the Detroit Tiger, but they lost their all-star second basemen for a significant amount of time. The right hand is definitely broken and is likely to need surgery. Cano will travel to Philadelphia to see a hand specialist doctor.
I see Cano missing at least 8 weeks and returning to the team at some point in late July or early August.
