HOW VALUABLE IS REVIS TO THE JETS?

Darrelle Revis is one of the best corner backs we have seen in years. He should of won defensive player of the year in my opinion no disrespect to Charles Woodson of the Green Bay Packers who won the award. How valuable is Revis? well the jets only gave up 8 passing touchdowns the whole season not including the
playoffs and Revis played a big part in that. Revis at times took the opposing team best receiver and shut them down. Andre Johnson, Randy Moss, Chad Ochocinco, and Roddy White, was just some of the receivers that took a vacation on Revis island. As we approach the 2010 season Darelle Revis wants more money seeing as though he is only set to make $1mil this year. You can understand where he is coming from wanting more money base on what he did last season he over achieved. Revis wanted to be the highest paid player at his position with some where around $15mil to $16mil a year. Nnamdi Asomugha right now is the highest paid corner in the NFL at $15.1mil for the 2010 season.

The owner of the team Woody Johnson said "My gut feeling is, I would say no" when he was asked if he think Revis would play this season for the Jets. Revis has been holding out for 8 days now is he is fined $16,000 each day he holds out.
